Phonak Introduces New Infinio Ultra Hearing Aids

Phonak has introduced Infinio Ultra, which provides speech clarity from and direction as well as wax management. The two new models are Infinio Ultra R and Infinio Ultra Sphere.

The new hearing aids, according to the company, feature 18 times more real-world listening scenarios and 24% more precise environment detection. The Phonak AI sound classification system was further trained to recognize a broader range of music styles.

The hearing aids also pair to myPhonak, phones, and tablets in one step. Universal connectivity allows pairing with as many as eight Bluetooth devices while maintaining up to two simultaneous active connections.

A new, patented EasyGuard wax management system is mechanically sealed for extra protection with a membrane that’s acoustically transparent and is simple to wipe clean. It’s designed to hearing aid wearers don’t have to change wax filters, which Phonak said means up to 38% fewer service visits.

The dedicated real-time AI chip in Infinio Ultra Sphere was optimized for more efficiency, and Spheric Speech Clarity 2.0 delivers clearer speech from any direction with up to 30% more efficiency than before, the company said. A single charge provides all-day performance, even for active users in demanding, noisy environments.

Last year, the company introduced a hearing aid powered by a dedicated, real-time, large-scale DNN (deep neural network) chip to deliver clear speech from any direction instantly.
